Ground conditions change what a court costs and how long it lasts. These are the things that come up most on East Tennessee sites.
Very little naturally flat ground
East Tennessee is ridge and valley, so a level pad usually has to be created. That can mean cut and fill, and sometimes a retaining wall. It is the single biggest variable in an East Tennessee quote.
Slope drainage
On a hillside lot, the court becomes the flattest thing on the property, which means water heads for it. Interceptor drainage above the pad matters more here than almost anywhere else in the state.
Freeze-thaw at elevation
Higher ground sees more freeze-thaw cycling through the winter. Sealed cracks and correct slope stop water getting in and levering the surface apart.
